Kim is a Hairstylist, Esthetician and Reiki Master/Teacher who has lived in the Lake Monticello community for 14 years. She loves living in, working in and being a part of this community. Kim recently set a goal to raise $10,000 for the UVA Breast Care Center through the Charlottesville Women's 4 Miler and if she reached that goal she would shave her head. With the generosity and support of the community she surpassed this goal, raising $11,444! Kim's son Kile is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, serving our country in Okinawa. Melissa began her career as a hair care professional in November 2003 at Salon DeShano. Since then she has attended and completed numerous educational programs and events. Her areas of expertise include fashion forward hair coloring techniques, formal occasion styles and natural nail services. She exhibits a passion for the art of creating an image to suit each individual’s needs and satisfaction.

Being a member of the beauty industry for more than 23 years, Mary feels that continuing education to advance her skills and staying fashion savvy are top priorities and views every client as an individual.

Among her specialties are custom cutting, coloring, formal occasion styles and multi-dimensional coloring techniques.

Through her many volunteer efforts, recently she has participated in a local bone marrow drive, Light the Night Charlottesville, & St. Baldricks.

Currently, one of her passions is offering hope & healing to those receiving treatment for cancer. With this service, Mary offers wig care & design, hair care during treatment, and products to help ease the burden for patient and family during treatment.

Mary enjoys life as the mother of a teen daughter and two young adult college students which enables her to feel such a strong connection with other young people as well.
Mary has lived in the Fluvanna/Lake Monticello area for 16 years and uses every opportunity to involve herself with the local schools and her church community.

Jacqui has more than 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. Throughout her award-winning career she has served as inspiration and mentor to countless others in the field of cosmetology. As an educator, she has helped to advance not only her own skills in hair color and highlighting techniques but the skills of other professionals along the way.

Jacqui expects a level of excellence in herself as well as her entire staff.

Jeff brings a motivating force along with years of sales and business experience. His team building skills and positive outlook are indispensable in the salon.

With over 12years as a licensed practitioner of body work and massage disciplines Aliceia will undoubtedly exceed your expectations. She enjoys the reputation of exemplary professionalism while thoroughly utilizing the techniques that she has honed to benefit her patients. Aliceia offers Swedish, Myofascial, Deep Tissue and Muscle Release techniques to promote overall health and well-being of the body and mind.

Heather VanderPas is a hairstylist and makeup artist with over 12 years of experience. She has recently moved to the Lake Monticello area from Richmond, Virginia. She counts styling hair and makeup for film, editorial photography, and the models for an eco-friendly fashion website among her achievements. She has been trained in DC by top stylists from New York and Europe for the AVEDA corporation. She loves working with subtle forms of haircolor to breathe new life into your look, and can give you a great haircut that will wear very well. She understands that change need not be drastic to be dramatic. She has a passion for makeup application, skincare, and eyebrow shaping.
